Saturn and Nessus 2024 to 2057

Heliocentric sidereal planetary cycle Astrology - the Universe is empowering us with all its cycles on the seemingly endless spiraling path of evolution...

………………………………………………………………………

An introduction of the “Players” - Saturn and Nessus

Saturn is about authority, structures, order and law but not only material structures (like our skeleton/body or buildings) but also about societal structures, political structures and structures of our inner life and maybe also the concept of time… other key words are commitment, responsibility and to mature… He reminds us, that we build our structures ourselves and need to take on the responsibility in order to live our sovereignty….

Nessus speaks of abuse, neglect and denial and or our reaction to such situations. He’s showing where we tend to victimize ourselves and where we therefore make space for others to “abuse” us. Another perspective of the theme is, where we “neglect” ourselves, or have abandoned abilities or dreams etc. – once we "break" such habits, we create a whole new life for ourselves… More about Nessus:

Saturn has become famous about being "limiting" or "limits", boundaries, borders in general and Nessus to be about abuse and therefore both not especially “loved” ... "Bad reputations" are very difficult to “turn around” – anybody who experienced that in one form or another knows, yet, it also sets one free of trying to fulfill expectations…

Of course, it can be that we at times encounter in our lives the very negative sides of either Saturn or Nessus or as now together – yet, every horrible experience can hold some form of “opportunity” for the future…

I see the Centaurs as "bridging" and connecting energies and as we have by now also discovered more "minor planets" far beyond Pluto, there's this "outer, galactic" bridge building in progress and that doesn't always come in "nice" ways, especially as it can disrupt and pushing us to leave "comfort zones", belief systems and even "traditions".

Here some more "earthly" examples:

One can “abandon” a calling for a more fulfilling career or not standing with the own ideas, or “copying” someone else or to neglect the physical and/or emotional needs of oneself, or being there for others more than oneself…. or, or, or….

As Saturn is also about authorities (personal and societal level) themes in politics and their executives etc. are addressed but also commerce can fall into it – together with Nessus that can mean either an abusive aspect within this but also which authority we have abandoned…

Conjunctions

A conjunction brings two cycles together – the completion which is same time a restart. So, in some ways, it could be called the state in “between lives”, the wholeness of the last and the new without knowing what it will hold exactly, even though we have seeded it but how will it show???

This is a quality of the beginning of any new cycle – we’re full of the old but same time there’s the new, it’s together and there’s a decision to make where we choose to be. – it’s like taking the “leap of faith”, which can be hard at times but then we’re in it and start to live it and things become clearer – the theme will show or enter awareness as we grow the roots…

Saturn and Nessus conjunction

at 23°27’24" sidereal Aquarius

Their heliocentric conjunction takes place on (Universal time) 2nd of December 2024

Their conjunction Geometry does look “portal like / dividing”. Due to their orbits, they at the moment can’t meet between Cancer and Capricorn…

Nessus got a ca. 122 years orbit and Saturn 29+ years – yet, when Nessus is near his Perihelion, he’s almost as “fast” as Saturn as his Perihelion brings him close to Saturn’s orbit. That makes it difficult for Saturn to catch up…

That’s why this last cycle took them around 51 years, whereas the next will be already in June 2057 and therefore a roughly 33 years cycle, which was also the case prior to 1973…

Heliocentric sidereal Astrology chart about the Saturn and Nessus conjunction 2024

Saturn and Nessus are in a Quincunx (72°) with Senda (yellow line), a sextile (60°) with Mercury (blue) and a 90° square with Jupiter (red).

Besides these “straight” aspects, it's notable that Saturn and Nessus are both in approach to Neptune, while he’s himself near the vernal point and north of the Galactic South Pole – I think, that’s in this sense a very “balsamic” aspect feel here, that underlays every “straight” aspect…

This “mystical, balsamic” feel can especially develop in combination with the Quincunx of Sedna – Sedna by herself of an own world and league with a pentagonal aspect which reminds of the Venus – Sun/Earth cycle geometry which is as well as the “face shape” of the dodecahedron the “heavenly” platonic solid.

As Sedna is the one with the longest orbit used in my charts, any angle formed from “behind” her is a “last or descending” one, whereas those “ahead” are “first or ascending”.

Interesting to note here is the position of Mercury just 2° passed his own Northnode and less than a degree passed Mars’ Northnode. The Mercury – Mars relationship of thought and action I have explained in the post about their conjunction at their Northnodes in September 2024 (link to that post)… Yet, there’s also the themes of reaction, response etc. which means “communication”… When we now put that in relationship to Saturn, we have a theme of authority and maturity here and with Nessus the “bridging” theme and a possible “neglect”…

Neglect is often used in a "creative" way too - we may "dismiss" something, focus on something else etc. yet, it's important to do this in an aware way. Consciously deciding to neglect something for something else....

Adding the “emerging” of possibility theme of Sedna combined with her “own kingdom story”, her coming from another “world” energy as well as the creative pentagonal relation, we get a completely different “picture” than we would commonly see… Especially when we count in, that Earth is approaching Jupiter for conjunction in sidereal Taurus. It’s like anchoring the expansion and understanding into our incarnate experience… it actually changes everything… you see, Jupiter is there close to Venus’ northnode, so an emphasis here, just as we had last month – Venus’ themes are very “highlighted” lately, so can you see the beauty in all of this!!!???

The new “Earth paradigm” wants to be lived, experienced and imagined a possibility….

Yet, everything always takes its “time” and “path” - therefore, there’s this back-and-forth energy that we may feel in the Saturn-Nessus themes in the “starting time” of this new cycle – especially when it’s about “negative” things we’re so used to fight and commonly can’t imagine that acceptance, imagination and openness could be an answer or solution…

Good News is though – time will show it’s no longer possible to be in that – especially when Saturn and later Nessus will make their conjunctions with the South Galactic Pole and/or Neptune things will become clearer and other cycles will bring their qualities in as well …

So, I think there will be a lot that shows in our lives in surprising ways, maybe unexpected too (Nessus orbit crosses the orbit of Uranus, so does hold some of these energies as well) but if we stay “open” to possibilities outside our “normal ways”, things can unfold and benefits can show where we least expect them…

Let us have a look at the last cycle – the 1973 conjunction chart

Roughly 51,5 years ago it was that they last met and that was with Saturn at the star Al Hecka of Taurus (the southern horn) and Nessus north of the ecliptic about to further ascend into the constellation Auriga.
